Such a disappointment, and for so many years. We have had much the same experience as other reviewers; the portions are extremely small and not fresh, the staff is rude and unhelpful, the shop is gross/smelly/dirty and the prices are a joke. We keep trying again every year or so, but this place has been absolutely terrible for years! I'm finished with them. Poor unknowing holidaymakers at the caravan park are the only reason they stay in business. And by the look of their online reviews, they don't even care to make it better. Disappointing.
We like to support local business when we go away, but having spent $58 on 3 burgers a couple of toasters and '$5 worth of chips' that wouldn't feed 3 seagulls! Rude old ladie with agro attitude when questioned about chip serving size.. I guess this is what greed breeds when there is no competition for them! Caravan Park next door is lovely by the way- and will stick to eating at the pub in future! (It's a shame because this is a lovely place to stay)
What a joke!The worst takeaway we have ever experienced. The two pieces of "fish" in my opinion was straight from a black and gold packet. DO NOT EAT HERE! $10 worth of chips that lacked salt, refused to give us vinegar and barely fed three people. When confronted about the rubbery, poor quality and overpriced fish, she was extremely rude and said "do you see any fresh fish here?". They're on the coast for crying out loud. Get some fresh fish. How she is still in business is beyond us.. Will never go back there.
