Shayne McCormick Ballet Centre

My daughter Rachael was a student of the ballet school for more than nine years and was able to grow in self awareness and discipline through the excellent classes that shayne offers. Shayne has a keen eye for each student's talents and gifts. The parents of students quickly form a family relationship and support network. Therefore the students can feel safe in their environment throughout their education at the school. It's fun and fabulous.

My children thoroughly enjoy dancing at Shayne McCormick Ballet Centre in Ipswich. The teaching is world class, small class sizes means that the children get a lot of attention, sometimes they don't like it, but I love that they are learning self discipline. Other parents are lovely. They have great value for money with unlimited classes available in Ballet, contemporary,tap, jazz, hip hop and they even have Spanish lessons. I wouldn't go anywhere else for Ballet in Ipswich.

The Shayne McCormick Ballet Centre is a first-class ballet school, and offers a full range of dancing styles: classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip-hop, as well as singing and drama. The Shayne McCormick Ballet Centre is also an official examination centre for both the RAD and FATD boards from the grades to the major exams.
Shayne McCormick, the principal who is also a RAD examiner, has inspired many distinguished dancers such as Michael Braun, pricipal dancer with The Queensland Ballet and The Royal New Zealand Ballet; Rudi Hawks, soloist with The Australian Ballet Company; and David Mitchell who teaches Ballroom Dancing in Hong Kong, and competes at International level. At present Ari Thompson is in his pre-professional year with The Queensland Ballet; and my daughter Emily Doherty is in her final year studying contemporary dance at Unitec Institute of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand.
