Shelley Rossmoyne Fish Chips & Takeaway

I can only assume that the standard of the product offered here has dropped somewhat over time. I had fish and chips from here last Saturday. The fish was tasty but very thin and coated in a reasonably thick layer of batter which, whilst tasty, was actually too much and probably more in volume than the fish it covered. The chips were crisp, but were very obviously commercially produced rather than hand cut from fresh potato, which is actually disappointing. On the plus side, the establishment does sell mushy peas which, for anyone originally from the UK (especially the North) will be an essential accompanyment. It would be good to think that the fish could be cut thicker and coated in a little less batter and that the chips could be fresh cut.

Have used previously however at last visit fish was terrible.Won't buy again.

excellent shop! love their crispy chips and fresh fish, fair price. friendly staff and owner. My family has to go every week, especially when our friends come to visit us. Highly recommend!
