Shenannigans a name easy to remember, an atmosphere hard to forget!!!Shenannigans Pub & Restaurant is located in the heart of Darwin CBD. With it's award winning kitchen, you will not be disappointed with a good hearty meal to get you through your day. With Darwin being in the tropic what better way to cool down than with an Ice cold drink. A wide range selection of beer and ciders are on tap with another wide range in stubbies.
Shenannigans also is darwins premier live music venue with bands and musicians taken to the stage 6 nights a week. So whatever you are looking for we have it from a quiet lunch drink, to having a night on the time, Shenannigans has all of it too offer.
It has air con and cider. The food was a bit on the pricey side. I was rather shocked that a 200g steak was going to cost me $22.
I paid it anyway, the steak came out and it really wasn't worth $22.
The service was lovely though, attentive and they didn't get the order wrong. My partner ordered the crumbed crocodile, if only to say that he ate crocodile. He said it tasted like chicken.
But anyway, they highlight was that they had cider. And air con. And in the Darwin heat/humidity, this is a total winner in my books.
If one likes Irish Pubs with loud bands and good wide screen TV's as well as the opportunity to go Al Fresco then this friendly and relatively clean Pub in the heart of Darwin has it - as well as Tuesday trivia and Monday Karaoke - prices are good and the Pub Fare is reasonable as well, most of the locals are quite friendly and there are not a lot of fights and the Pub puts on good bands several times a week. Try Kitty O'Shea's up the road too, another very good pub where the local band the Seeds play, Max, his brother Clay and Bob are amongst the best live musicians in Darwin.
