Went and tried a Hainan Chicken Rice (Or Hoi Nam as Shiki calls it). Probably my favourite dish of all time and the only time I\'ve eaten a worse and more disappointing serve was when I cooked it myself. Shiki\'s idea of Chicken Rice was a poached chicken maryland with little flavour, normal steamed white rice with a tiny but of oil drizzled over it, a fairly average broth and tub of chilli oil. Looked average, tasted less than average. On the plus side, it was dark meat off the bone. That\'s about all the positives. Also, it cost $12.50! How ridiculous. My suggestion to others who love chicken rice, go to other takeaways. It\'s cheaper, you get more, it\'s cooked properly and tastes amazing. As for the other items on Shiki\'s menu, I can\'t comment, but the gyoza looked nice. Perhaps this dish (listed under \"Specialty\" on there menu) just isn\'t their forte.
