Established 1936Shingle Inn City Hall is the reincarnation of Brisbane's oldest and most-loved cafe. Originally opened in 1936 on Edward Street, Shingle Inn was well known for its superior quality cakes, unique environment and outstanding service.

Even though the fit out is the same this Single Inn doesn't really possess the ambiance of the original. Seats seem to be squashed in and harder than ever for dining for any length. The food seemed the same however the scones didn't feel or taste like they'd been made today. Service was a bit hit and miss.
