Both times I have been were disappointing. I went for lunch in my lunch break and it took them 40 minutes to warm up a slice that was sitting in the display cabinet. They definitely didn't spend the time on the 'side salad' because I could have fit the whole thing in my mouth in one bite!
Second time my pot of tea came after I had eaten my breakfast (ordered at the same time) my entire meal was sitting in a pool of water from my poached eggs.
I went for lunch the other day at Brisbane Square Shingle Inn and was highly disappointed. The management, who served me, was very rude and blunt. They were sold out oh half their ingredients so I eventually settled for a sandwich.
Although the coffee took a good fifteen minutes to come out it was a least decent. The food, however, was not. The bread was dry and the salad limp. When I asked for a refund the same rude management refused me. I won't be repeating this experience and neither should you.
