My unit in Homebush West was managed by Shipway Realty West Ryde. The problems I had with them was the same as mentioned in the above reviews, i.e. no communication, bad service, slow in taking actions but were very prompt in calculating interest on levies in arrears, even though they sent the levy notices late. Once one of the staff members was acting on the behalf of the strata manager sending extra ordinary levy, the money was going to be used to build security doors that never happened and the money has never been recovered, they kept on changing the strata manager.

I bought my first unit on December 2009 and have had to deal with Shipway strata for the first time on February ( I moved in on January 2010) this year in regards to my strata payment. I called to verify when my first strata payment is due and I was told May 2010 for approx $550.00 per quarter. When I received this bill, I was mortified to see that I have a late payment due of $550 + interest (from February quarter that I did not receive a bill) plus $550 for the May quarter. I called the property manager, told them that there must be a mistake, they obviously denied my conversation with them but ultimately since it was my bill I had to pay the due amount but was 'nice' enough to waive the interest that I incurred for the late bill I never received. ...read more

Can you believe 2 months after I wrote my last review, I am still waiting for my refund cheque? They said they posted on 2/7, but the stamp from the post office was 18/07. Denied was their problem, cancelled the cheque. Ok, is the post office problem then. The property manager now asked me to go to their office to pick up? You can keep on dreaming since the lovely experiece I had when I pick up my folder!!! Send my express post!

Thank you for giving me another excuses to write a bad review. This time as a tenant. We (Landlord, agent & myself) had agreed for rental reduction due to flood!!! The real estate's e-mailed confirmed you are going to deducted only $800. Now YOU have deducted the full rent, $1500, ONCE AGAIN!!! I don't know what is happening at the real estate!!! Two straight months they have deducted the full rent. Even the landlord is confused what you are doing.

Not to mension about they always change their property managers in Gladesville & Carlingford office. As an owner also a tenant of this agent, I DO NOT recommended anyone for this kind of bad property management services. As a tenant, they took more than 4 months to fix something minor with the owners approval!!! No responds from phone calls and emails. Always have excuses for their own fault and tried to cover up whenever they can. As an owner, they never deliveried what they promised. E.g: Get things to pick up on the date confirmed by phone and e-mail. Still need to delay and make up excuses not to turn up and do not have the gut to ring you up until you chased him!!! Is a disgrace from their own professional industry. I think give you a half star rating is already too much!!! I am surely not happy with their service.
