The best Indian restaurant I have been to. The service is as good as the food and the food is absolutely delicious .Go there once and your guaranteed to go again .If you like Indian food do yourself a favour and try it.

The first time I went here was in 1999. The food was brilliant in taste, but my friends all received their meals in a poorly managed fashion. Some received their main and no appetiser. Others their appetiser and meal at the same time. I received my stone cold but tasty main nearly a full hour after most of most of my friends. When I quietly complained, the staff were plain rude. With this in mind, I recently decided that maybe they'd had a bad night back then, so, rushed for time I ordered a take away meal. What I got when I tramped to the train station was a lovely curry in a very wide, flat tub, and a lassi (drinking yoghurt) also in a wide, flat tub! It is very hard to eat a liquid curry with no utensils, and it is even harder to drink a lassi from such a ridiculous receptacle! Both drink and curry - around $20 worth - ended up in the rubbish bin as I had not enough energy to get back to the restaurant. I'd rather starve than waste more time and money.

Fantastic food! My partner and I have tried many Indian restaurant and have found no other place that provides friendly service, great atmosphere and most important of any the most tasty and delicious traditional Indian food. We go their all the time. It is most definitely worth the drive down to Ferntree Gully!!
