Greg Van Borssum is a martial artist with over thirty five years of experience. His extensive training, both here and in the Orient eventually led him to become a Hollywood Film Director, Fight Choreographer and Weapons Specialist, regularly featuring in a host of magazines.
In Greg's time he has been fortunate to train under, with and alongside some of the very best masters in the world. One of the most major martial arts influences in his life is Kyoshi 8th Dan Karate Master, Sensei Mark Greville. Greg came to train under Sensei Greville in the late 1980's. Greg was immediately amazed by his Sensei's depth of knowledge and abilities. Greg worked hard to become accepted as a private student, training daily to build and develop his own skills. Over twenty five years later and the pair are still training together.
The Wagstaffe Shorin Ryu Shorinkan Karate School is officially the sister school of the Northern Beaches Collaroy Dojo and part of the Okinawan Martial Arts Body in Okinawa under 10th Dan Hanshi Shugoro Nakazato.
When Greg is not in the Dojo or on the set, he divides his time between representing Australia in the international competitive arena, or on the stage as a Motivational Speaker, where he encourages people to reach their potential and in doing so, change their lives. ...read more
