'On Sat 3.12.16 I had the misfortune of going to Silks, it was an extremely poor night with very poor food quality. The night started with the staff trying to charge us $89 per person when their own site stated it was $64. To show the mistake more clearly, there is a Silks site using the below quote, 'Silks are offering their traditional style seafood buffet trackside every Saturday night. The buffet includes hot and cold seafood, carved roast meats, a selection of appealing salads as well as sumptuous desserts. All of this at a great price of just $58 per person.' It seems that $64 was even a mistake .... I contacted Silks management and they did NOT respond ....we won't be back and neither will any of our relatives or friends.
At $78 a head the food is terrible. The seafood is not fresh & with the oysters on a platter with no ice on a hot night this restaurant is taking a huge risk. Not a big variety of food & what was on offer was very basic & ordinary. At the price one should expect top quality. Very disappointing. Will not go again, such a waste of money.
Total rip off -1hr to eat opens 6.30 packing away by 7.30 and totally bland -seafood is frozen and not much variety next comes cheese platter which has barely any and then desserts which barely rate a pass totally below Silks of yesteryear -give it a miss save your $58
