Terrible service. I live locally to a shopping centre but have no vehicle so went to a cab rank to go home with a trolley full of groceries. Stupidly, i thought the silver service sitting IN the cab rank was free to take a ride however upon asking the driver if he was free he grumbled about waiting for an airport job that would be triple the price of my fair but begrudingly helped me with the groceries. The drive home itself was filled with road rage, calling other drivers 'morons' and honking at them continuously all the while complaining about his missed airport fare. Disgusting. I understand why Uber is taking over
Previous experiences with Silver Service have been good when collecting from from a taxi rank but be warned there telephone ordering service is TERRIBLE! I recently ordered a taxi to take us to the airport. Our flight was just in peak hour and I wanted to be safe than sorry. The frustration of the computer operator was almost too much bear given I had to give my address multiple times and for reasons unknown it could not understand a simple request - pickup at 4pm (it kept insisting I meant the next day). I finally was transferred through to an operator who I seemed had got all the information correct but when the time came we waited and no taxi arrived at 4pm. No SMS to advise taxi was on its way so I called again to enquire and the operator just seemed confused and advised taxi was on its way. Refuses to pay for damage to vehicle when does so.
Management although agreed on day to pay for damage is now refusing to pay for my car damaged in accident, although promised they would.Told me to get stuffed on phone today, blocked my number so i cant ring to chase money
NEVER USE YELLOW/SILVER SERVICE.
