I have been going to the dentist regularly since I first had teeth, despite having a deep phobia of anything dental, always seeing dentists as my worst enemies, and as I got older, it ony became worse !!! I am always happy to delay my dental checks due to the intense fear of the pain...Three years ago, I was diagnosed with periodontitis, for which I needed a scaling and root planing procedure to stabilize the bone loss that was occuring...despite the risks of loosing my teeth, I kept on delaying the procedure...again...and again...and again...out of fear !!
