Single O
Also known as: Single O Surry HillsThis is the spot on Reservoir Street where it all started in 2003. The first home of our roasting & now home to a team of passionate staff peaking on single origins & our Reservoir blend, it's a place where you can come for a painstakingly well-made coffee, a freshly roasted bag for home, a delicious breakfast or lunch from our seasonal menu plus a good dose of friendly service. Next to the cafe is our specialty brew bar. The birthplace of the Juggler Cafe Milk Tap System, the brew bar serves many a takeaway coffee. It's also a place to hang curbside & enjoy a single origin batch brew, pourover, cold brew or espresso. At any given time Single O Surry Hills has a dozen dishes, Reservoir blend & 4 single origin coffees up its sleeve, plus an array of specials & events up the other. Come see us Monday to Saturday.

Got to love a cafe that cares about the environment. In their endeavour to cut their single use cup waste in half by May 2018, they've introduced the short stay. Inspired by the standing espresso culture of Italy you can now enjoy your espresso streetside at the coffee bar. They also offer a discount for customers that bring their own reusable cups. And their coffee is ace!
Oh yeah. This is one of the best coffee's I've had. There is so much competition around but this one seems to be the most busiest in the mornings. The queue was long but I only waited about 5 minutes for my coffee. It was delicious! Just the right amount of milk and wasn't too hot. I can't wait to try the food!
Single Origin Roaster may not occupy a place large enough, but it certainly manages to pack a lot of customers with its post-modern atmosphere and wooden inspired decor. Looks like many customers, both locals and visitors, are digging the place. It has the hipster-like charm with rustic and wooden decor and friendly local service.
I managed to order my breakfast from an online ordering system. The hot chocolate that I ordered was beautiful. It was not too sweet, although the dark elements could have been a little stronger to give it more kick. They do not sell croissants on Mondays so I decided to go with a muffin instead. The muffin (which was a surprise flavour for the day) was a bluberry muffin. It was quite large and tasted nice, with crispiness on top and soft on the inside as intended.
The price points reasonably match the atmosphere and ambiance.
