Sir Joseph Banks Hotel is a classic no-fuss pub in Botany. A long established local favourite, it has various bars, a VIP lounge, a beer garden, a smoker’s courtyard and pool tables. Sky, TAB and Fox keep punters abreast of sports, while hungry guests can hit the bistro for happy hour meals and inexpensive Sunday roasts.

It took me a while to get to this pub, namely because it happens to be located in the heart of one of Sydney’s industrial areas. It is a nice pub though, but nothing really out of the ordinary. I guess the location makes it problematic in that way. However they do have a nice beer garden, and there were some decent beers on tap, so I’ll give it credit for that.
