This has to be the best Indian on the northside. We don't even dare to try anywhere else for Indian! I remember coming here as a child in the 90s and it's been going strong ever since.
Service is always warm and welcoming and their dishes are made with good quality meat which has been hard to find at many other Indian restaurants or takeaways (disclaimer: those tried on the northside!). We generally get the butter chicken and lamb korma in medium which are always sublime and just the right amount of heat. Recently we also tried the beef vindaloo in which the meat was tender and delicious, I prefer creamy curries though so I'm prejudiced! My favourite thing about Indian food is the bread and Sitar's garlic naan is unmatched. Soft and stretchy with the right amount of crispy edges. So good.

Best Indian we've had (and we've travelled throughout India). Staff are so friendly. Big location with lots of space for even large groups with an upstairs setting as well as lots and lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Tandori chicken is to die for and the samosas, naan (plain and garlic) and pakora onion are AMAZING. Definetly recommend. Brilliant for dine and or take away. Some of the best staff we've ever encountered, very attentative and always so happy.

Food is delicious and great for sharing. The dishes do look small when you first get them, however, looks can be deceiving because they are thought to finish. Took a while to get our order taken down but after that the food came quickly

Service is absolutely exemplary, the staff always have a big smile on their face and are willing to do anything they can to help.

The food is also fantastic. I'm not sure how authentic they are but for my white-man taste buds, they hit the spot every time and I've tried a wide range of dishes from their menu. Best of all, their meals are really well priced which is demonstrated well by leaving with two full bellies for under $50.

Food is always good especially the butter chicken. Service can be improved upon.
