Nice views from this open air bar on top of the Star. Good amount of space and evidently is popular with groups of all sizes. Lots of well dressed young people but they're not the only demographic you'll see. Gets a bit noisy at popular times but still nice if that doesn't bother you.
It’s like a mini (suit-filled) street festival on the rooftop of the casino. There are food tents serving tasty Chicken Quesadillas ($10) and Grilled Pork ($8), bars scattered around the perimeter, a gaming tent, drinks served in blue plastic cups and…oh…a bongo player. While the bongo-DJ-saxophonist trio leaves my date with “mixed feelings,” we’re quite happy to enjoy the sense of superiority that comes from being able to see such an expansive view of Sydney and the harbour… Yes, we are looking down on you with cocktails in hand, tiny, scurrying ant-people.
Sky Terrace at The Star overlooks the Sydney City and Harbour. A large outdoor lounges and tables.
Located on Level 3, you will need to take the escalators towards Marquee and continue one level up.
They have a Moet Chandon tent, a full service bar, food tents and areas that you are able to gamble as well.
DJ's on most nights.
The only thing that worries me, is that if it rains there is only a limited area that has cover, so that does not leave much room for everyone.
Great place to have drinks on a lazy sat and sunday on a sunny day as it would be a spectacular sunset.
Sky Terrace is perhaps one of the famous attractions at The Star. Having been here many times at different times of the evening, ths place spans across a very large outdoor space at the top level rooftop. It offers a beautiful harbour view towards the north whilst allowing you enjoy drinks at a leisurely pace without too much distraction of music or hyperactive elements. Definitely a good place to soak in the atmosphere during summer moments.
There are plenty of couches and high tables and chairs for everyone, with occasional playful decor and even large-sized Jenga blocks to keep you and your friends entertained.
The drinks are appropriately priced, and they also sell small foods too, like nachos, rice paper rolls, and beef sliders. The food are of reasonable size and also appropriately priced, and to my surprise were quite delicious.
The only sad thing about this place is that it usually closes just right before 11pm.
