Disgusting service. One of the rudest tradesmen I have dealt with.
Took nearly a month for a splashback to be installed, took a 50% deposit fee yet wasn't returning calls or texts.
Half a star as the job is finally done but refuse to give any higher of a rating. 100% do NOT recommend!
BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
3 weeks - no splashback. Gave a $400 deposit and despite several attempts in writing and over the phone, cannot get a receipt or any paperwork out of them. They have organised to install on two occasions and both times have failed to show up. Have read other poor reviews and there is nothing "Smart" about this company except the Director's ability to consistently fail to deliver on his promises. Cutting my losses and off to Consumer Affairs and to another company.
Cannot edit the above post so writing this addendum. Installer showed up at 6.30 am the following day and splashback now partially installed. One piece was measured wrong. If I was given some paperwork regarding the job, I might of been able to point this out and save us all the hassle. It will be about 1 week to get the new piece. I have not paid balance (fortunately did not use a credit card to pay the deposit) and at this stage no need to complain to consumer affairs as there appears to be a genuine attempt to finish the job -- albeit long after the 1 to 1.5 week turnaround promised on the website. Lack of proof of contract in writing and failure to provide a receipt is still a major concern.
As per 'Don't use them on 01 August 2014 - very much the same experience. Promised 2 week installation turned into 5 weeks and then they didn't finish the job and had to come back. I was asked to inspect the installation and found damage to the edge of one piece. They used touch up paint that doesn't match and now it looks worse than before it was touched up. I can't get the paint off cause the glass had been split and the paint has gotten into the glass. I paid the deposit by credit card. They automatically took the balance from my credit card (despite my intention to pay by another means). Now I'm stuck with a brand new damaged splash back that I've paid full price for. I've twice sought a response as to how they might fix this and have received no response. All lovely to get the job and then don't deliver what they promise and couldn't care after they have your money.
