I'd be careful about using their machines; I put in a $20 at Melbourne domestic departures, and it took the money without providing any change or a trolley. One of the landside security found me a staff member who took my name and details, and said someone would call me to refund my money. It's been two weeks and I'm yet to receive a telephone call.
At times, you are able to source a free one, which I think is better than committing money, especially when there is no clear reporting or complaints process available either at the airport or on their website, for their errors.
Just an update: I submitted a complaint, and they were very prompt in sending me a cheque. It wasn't easy to find the correct number to call, but at least the matter is resolved
