Smith & Tzannes is a Sydney based architecture and urban planning practice directed by Peter Smith and Andrew Tzannes. It is their ability to find simple and beautiful solutions that work at multiple levels as a result of detailed analysis and lateral thought that characterises the work of the practice.

They deliver projects that are responsible to the specifics of a site - its physical and cultural contexts, and the program - as a result of the close relationship established with each of our clients. While relying on a degree of experience has been essential, it is the success of these relationships that has enabled the devising of individual solutions. Smith and Tzannes foster a collaborative approach promoting client 'ownership' of the design throughout the entire project.

We believe a sustainable built environment should enrich peoples lives and add quality to the communities it serves. Buildings and the spaces between them should create memorable experiences, where by the play of light and shade, use of texture and colour can tantalise the senses of the inhabitant.
