Customer service & quality was shocking here. After converting my car, the engine had all sorts of problems. Every time I spoke to the management they would basically talk down to me like I was dumb and use complicated terms, without letting me reason with them. I stupidly kept returning my vehicle to be fixed which came with a price tag each time as well as CD's and money going missing from my car. In the end, I changed mechanic and got the problem fixed which was due to the low quality parts the mechanic had used. Would not recommend to anybody.
DO NOT USE THIS MECHANIC. Smithy's converted my car to gas, and left the car with a terrible idle - popping and stalling. I took the car back in total of SEVEN TIMES to get the problem fixed, which they continued to blame on everything else but the gas conversion. They charged me to get new spark plugs, new battery and a whole range of other things, which never resolved the problem. Eventually they charged me $700 to get a new computer for the gas system, which should have come under warranty.
Every time I took my car there they would not work on the car until the end of the day and often then had to keep the car overnight to get the work done. A management staff was always rude, aggressive and intimidating to work with.
They had my car for a few days and said it takes time to find out what was wrong with the car. After all that time they misdiagnosed the problem and said I need a new computer, when it did not need to. They are over charging and down right rude. It's no star from me. Never take your car there, as you will regret it.....
What I paid for and what I received were two different things!
The fuel economy was 25% less then what I was promised; and have taken my car back 6 times and the problem is still not resolved! They have also left scratch marks down the side of my drivers door.
I have sent emails and leave voicemails, however I do not get responses.
I am not impressed by their service and product, and would not recommend Smithy's LPG to anyone.
