Smokehouse Sorrento

restaurant specializing in wood fired pizzas take away and dine in. we tried the vegetarian (sweet potato, fetta ,etc) which was nice but the tomato base was a bit overwhelming as well as the olive tapenade with goats cheese which was delicous,but toppings a bit light on though on both pizzas (wood fire bases good), also have other meals on menu - tried the specials soup of the day which was an autumn vegetable with lentels which was wholesome, hearty and delicous and good value at $10.50. the honey and cardoman marinated duck sounded great but a bit expensive at $30. it was very busy the night we turned up without a booking, but they were very accomadating and let us sit with kids on the bench seats along front window. staff very freindly and welcoming including with young children (kids menu available with coloring sheet on back,with textas provided). coffees great, would recommend and return next time visiting mornington peninsula.

What a wonderful restaurant - the food is great and they welcome families. The Smokehouse have a kid's menu and children get a colouring-in page and textas to amuse them. Always a highlight of our holiday trips to Sorrento.
