Agh, there's a happy ending to this tale, but it was awful at the time. I had some large house plans that required photocopying, and they had a plastic edge stuck to them, it's how the original draftsman stored them. They told me to come back a few hours later , which I did, and they said something about how it's all different these days, something about my plans being too large or not right for a photocopier. They couldn't do it in one go, I said ok, no problem, happy to have it done on a few separate sheets. When I got there they said they had lost the plans. That's right. They said they would turn up at the end of the day and everything would be OK, and so I should leave and come back again - whaaaaat?
These plans were very important so I said I am not leaving the building until they turn up. Eventually they found my plans and gave me a partial refund.
