A popular Vietnamese restaurant on Danks Street Waterloo. The menu has something for everyone and be sure to take note of their specials. The stuffed chicken wings were a stand out for entree. When you come here you must order one of their pancakes (vegetarian, pork and prawn or the seafood option). This is served up overflowing on a plate making for a fun and filling dining experience. The chicken curry with noodles was served with the freshest bread for dipping and was the pick of the night. We will definitely be coming back to dine again.
Try the savoury pancakes! They will not disappoint! The pho is really nice here too; the noodles are super silky and the broth has a nice flavour. The Hoi sin they serve on the side is really delicious also.
We also had the pho brisket Bahn mi. The Bahn mi itself was delicious.. the pho broth just gets served on the side, so it felt a bit separate. The one thing that was disappointing is that they were out of bao buns and duck. A really good experience none the less and the fit out is really nice.
Great little hole in the wall joint selling predominantly Banh Mi rolls - very fresh rolls filled with meat of your choice : mince, beef, chicken, meatballs, duck or vegetarian. I went the duck, it was nice (but probably better warm not cold), with carrot, cucumber, coriander and Mayo. It was pretty nice, but probably have too high standards, having been regulars at Hong Ha.
They also serve rice paper rolls and vermicelli salads, all under $10. They have a few small tables out the front and do take away as well.
