Soap Bar Launderette

Great laundromat, I've never had any problems with the machines and there are so many payment methods. It is always clean with reasonable prices and the long opening hours are a godsend if you do shift work.

I will never again go to any other laundromat. Until I found Soap Bar, I had been going round supermarkets and bottle shops like a hobo begging for them to exchange notes for $1 coins and pretending not to notice 'DO NOT ASK FOR CHANGE FOR LAUNDROMAT AS REFUSAL MAY OFFEND'.

Sometimes the manager at IGA would help out a brother with some coin because I regularly do the family shopping there. But he would tsk tsk and remark that the laundromat should get their own change ...read more

I'm a huge fan of their first one in Carlton, and with this their latest creation, they haven't disappointed! Bigger & better, more room to swing your sheets, free ironing station, free wifi as usual. What I like about these guys is they really think about what the modern customer wants. For instance, they have provided a nice hand basin for you to rinse detergent/softener off your hands if you have an accident. Really looking forward to the espresso bar to come here too: so convenient to grab a drink and a snack while you wait. Rumour has it an air hockey table is coming soon, according to the owners. All in all the interior looks and feels like they put in a lot of time and thought into making it look as far from a laundromat as you can get while still being a laundromat. I like.

Wi-Fi plus a comfortable place to sit while waiting for wash.. how civilised! Love it
