This is a hard one, 2.5 stars because the restaurant staff have no hygiene skills and contamination is ridiculous in that place due to not even wearing gloves or changing surfaces let alone cleaning them but the meals are very large and they do allow doggy bags. I had to look past the experience to enjoy the food but it was a good amount for the money and looked better than what i expected after the hygiene thing
Earlier this year, it was very busy on a warm Sunday night but staff aplenty and we were quickly given a table outside as requested. It has been many years since I've set foot in a Sofia's but decided to give it a go and see what has changed. The menu is now more modern and there's plenty to choose from. I had the lemon pepper calamari with Greek-style salad and was pleasantly surprised. The serving was quite generous and was delicious. We also had a herb foccacia which although nice, was a little on the dry side. Being outside, the flies were a bit of a pain and then the heavens opened and we had to rush inside. Staff are quite young but attentive enough. Nice location with views of the water.
Really nice place, over looking the sea, plenty of space if you come in large groups. I also recommend the pizzas and pastas as really huge portions so can share with 2 people. Carbonara always my favourite. Really recommend this place. Price is also moderate..its actually quite cheap for what you get!
