Solid Gold Diamonds is one of the most recognized jewellers in Western Australia, with 2013 marking the business's 30 year anniversary. Since its inception in 1983, Solid Gold has grown to become the premiere diamond retailer in the state, with over 50 staff including a team of over 20 master-crafts people.
Solid Gold Diamond's founder, Peter Greene, is a master jeweller from London's famed Hatton Garden. Since arriving in Perth, Peter's dream was to develop a multilevel studio workshop in one location, above a major retail thoroughfare in the heart of the City.
He wanted to create a unique place where people could buy the world's finest diamonds and meet with specialist jewellery designers before seeing their jewellery being made by trained craftsmen. Solid Gold Diamonds is the realization of that vision.

My engagement ring was a huge surprise and as I have small fingers, my fianc took me back to Solid Gold to have it resized. I have shopped at other jewellers in the CBD as I work in West Perth and have always felt either uneasy "just looking" or pressured if I actually asked to look at a piece. Our experience at Solid Gold was amazing, the lady who served me wasn't the same person that sold Craig the ring but she was so helpful and considerate because we were going away the following weekend to see my parents and I wanted to wear my ring of coarse. We will definitely be back for our wedding bands and I recommend them highly. Their range is huge (probably the biggest showroom in Australia) they seem to be genuine in their approach and are very open when discussing options.
My fiance bought me a very beautiful engagement ring from solid gold and was very happy with the service. Unfortunately this level of service did not continue for when we went to purchase the wedding bands. We chose my partners wedding band but was unsure of what design of ring would compliment my engagement ring the best from 2 choices. we met a designer who hastily did a quick sketch but stated if we left it with them they would email us the 2 sketches on Monday so I could make my choice (we were in store Friday) we agreed to this and paid the deposit where the rings would be made in 3 weeks from me providing my decision, I didn't receive the email by Monday, so giving them a few extra days I phoned on Thursday. The response was would be done by that afternoon and be in my email for the Friday morning where I planned to catch up with family and get their opinions.
