We visited on a very busy day during the Christmas holidays. We had to wait quite a while for the food but they told us about the wait. The food was good value and the portion sizes were good. The grilled salmon was really tasty and I thought the chips were really good also. Would definitely try again. We got take away and sat at the park nearby.
Every year about November as the weather heats up I find myself giving this venue another go hoping and almost praying it's improved. Every year going on probably 12 years now I find myself extremely disappointed. About 1 week ago my wife went down to Crounlla for fish and chips. I had the grilled Dory with chips and Greek Salad (greek salad extra 60c) and my wife had the grilled fish burger. I ended up politely returning both items to the anger of the management who basically threw a $10 note at me and told me to get out.(the total meal cost was $25) My Dory could be eaten in two bites and was half the size of the Dory in the window (for $15 I expect a decent size of fish) the chips were cold and burnt and the greek salad contained salad, dressing and two pieces of capcicum. If you like scallops that are frozen packet jobs then yeah, eat here. Chips were pretty average too.
Our potato scollops at South Beach are fresh as you can get them , we peel the , we slice them and cook them nice and brown for you :)
