I had a problem with my AC and took it at South City. After spending a day on the car they could not find the fault and suggested that further tested on the compressor is required and possibly a replacement which may cost thousands, they promised a quotation but never got back to me. I took it to another mechanic in South Melbourne the next week and after spending 2 hours on the car they isolated the problem to a faulty relay and the repair cost me $15 plus labour. AC is working perfectly now.
Joe was recommended to me by work and I have had my Zafira serviced by them for the last 2.5 years. Joe is a very good mechanic in particular with root-causing engine issues, and in particular Holden engines. He doesn't give you stories about things that needs to be replaced just to make a quick buck and his team also treats my wife with the same respect, which is rather unusual. If you have a Holden I can truly recommend Joe, but you'll get a professional service whatever car you got. Only problem is that he sometimes is a bit too busy and a fairly simple job can take more then the one day he first thought, because other jobs dragged out. I prefer that any-day though to taking shortcuts or doing a quick band-aid to get your car ready on-time and you have to come back later to have it properly fixed, which has never happened after Service at Joe's.
