I took my 27 year old Maton M320 acoustic guitar to South Coast Music to repair some previous poor quality work done by a private luthier. The result is amazing with all frets stabilised, dressed and rolled, recrowned and polished. The fretboard was spoke shaved and divots filled in. A new bone saddle was shaped and the nut height adjusted. The action was checked for height and intonation. The fretboard was also oiled and conditioned, new strings added, machine heads serviced and all electrics (AP5 pickup already there) checked. This guitar now plays better than when I first bought it in 1990. My thanks to John and Phil for a superior job.
Verry helpful and friendly staff.. i was notified that the original item i had ordered had been damaged, however they offered me a replacement model upgrade on my djembe. I did have to request tracking on my parcel but kylie was more than happy to help and provide me with the tracking details.. the staff seemed verry helpful and friendly. I've been doing business with John and the staff at SCM for years and find them incredibly helpful. I've purchased many items, had them do numerous guitar setups, etc. and have never been disappointed. I'm very pleased that a high quality store with experienced staff such as SCM are located here in Nowra.
Absolute worst experience I have ever had in any store. Ordered online with a free EXPRESS POSTAGE 2-4 days label, only to find out after they took my money that it is actually eparcel standard. When I tried to get support, all I got from the store was a very very rude staff member not willing to help, but just blame everyone else but the store itself.
Finally spoke to a management staff and had absolutely no luck either just blaming australia post etc. They even tried to tell me it was Ebay's fault.
I paid for the goods on the 5/7/14, spoke to australia post and was told the item was only given to them on 9/7/14 and it was also send by normal post ( eparcel standard ) and NOT EXPRESS and not to expect it untill at least 15-16/7/14.
Very disappointing from an Australian Store.
My advice would be to steer clear, and buy your product elsewhere.
