Complete rip off. Make sure to get a second quote! $330 for a 1-hour job, they surely know how to charge. Our fault that we trusted Trevor's long lecture about how complicated leak detection can be, taking 3 hours, to justify the costs. Second plumber had to spend 4 hours to find the exact leak chargings us additional $550.
It is extremely disappointing to receive this review as we were contacted by a plumber to assist and attend the clients property to locate a concealed leak.
We spoke directly to the client about our costs which were specific to a leak location only, given that the plumber who engaged us was to carry out the necessary repairs. The client agreed to our charges.
We attended the next day to confirm the existence of a leak of 1080 litres per day. We located the source of the leak, marking the spot, showing the owner and sending the plumber
the image of the leak location. At no stage did our leak detection costs include effecting any repairs. It now appears the original plumber has not returned to complete the repair and in turn, another plumber has attended and charged a large amount to fix the leak.

I acknowlege your reply on my review. That is right that you were contacted by our plumber and advised about the costs. However, we were advised of the complexity of the job and time required to detect the leak, justifying 3 hours of work, costing $330. It turns out that the job was not as complicated as we were told and completed in one hour. It is interesting that you mention the volume of leak. I gather factors like the postcode of your clients and amount of volume loss would also affect the invoice for the job. The plumber who presented to fix the repair was also surprised by the amount charged for this job.

Very impressed with Trevor from the start. Great advice and prompt service. Trevor inspected a pool on a house we put a contract on and I was very impressed with the inspection. He arrived early and did exactly what he said he would do. Although he was more expensive than another company it was well worth it. I highly recommend that you contact Trevor for any help and certainly for a pool inspection when you are planning to buy a house.
Trevor and Sam are very nice. When I first contacted with South East detection, Trevor kindly suggested me to do the bucket test first and sent me the instruction of how to do it.
Last Saturday, they came to my home to do the detection and fix the hole perfectly. Did the bucket test again these two days, and it look very good!
