South Melbourne Fish & Chip Shop

Another one of the many fish and chip shops that I have visited, though in this case it was good, but one thing that sort of put me off was that the baramundi felt as if it had more batter than it had fish. While I liked battered fish, I do tend to prefer the fish over the batter. It was a little slow coming out as well, but then again they had quite a few orders. The chips, however, were actually quite nice, so I guess that makes all the difference.

I grew up in a Fish and Chip Shop so I know what I like and what works, and what does not. The food items which I purchased tasted average. Not poor like some do but not great. Average, and that is acceptable. But the quality of the service irritated me. The opening hours are ridiculous and even then he was late and even then while h3e had seen me waiting outside for almost 15 minutes, the bloke took his sweet time. Even putting the outside furniture and sign before serving me and one other. No wonder two others left.

Food was decent but experienced the worst service I've ever seen! We were simply eating there and we're the last ones there and the management came out and told us we had to go while we were still eating! Wouldn't even wait 2 minutes till we finished eating the food we purchased at this shop! Actually took the chairs away and cleared the table before we even had a chance to get up! Worst service ever avoid this place and try one of the other nearby takeaways!
