Southbank Visitors Information Centre

Lifeguards patrol the beach 7 days a week.


Let’s be realistic, it’s probably not advisable to swim in the Brisbane River. Thankfully the manmade Streets Beach in the South Bank Parklands offers sweaty CBD workers a chance to cool off. Perfect for a lunchtime dip or lazy sunbake it’s also family friendly with experienced life guards on patrol 7 days a week.

Beautiful place to wander, take in the pretty surrounds, find a cafe for a coffee or one of many awesome restaurants for lunch or dinner. There's a lot to see & do at Southbank, including street performers, buskers, festivals, etc.

Great parklands with fabulous dining, relaxation options and cafes.
Lots of waterfront views, heaps of parking and space to workout.
Great way to waste a few hours in Brissy.

Excellent choice of places to eat and cover everything from ice creams to sit down dining. New children's playground and brilliant swimming areas. There's the pool, the beach and the children's water play park.
