This has to be the worst motel in Townsville. Unless you like flying ants all over you at night, can put up with an old box A/C unit that is as loud as a jumbo jet plane. The room was tiny. You couldn't go out for 5 mins & leave the A/C & then it takes 2 hours to cool down again.
I was offered my money back from manager for the second night as I couldn't bear to stay another night. The owner refused to give my money back even though it had been mutually agreed to with the manager before leaving!
The owner is a rude Don't give this place a thought. Way over priced. I stayed at the Mercure on Woolcock St the next night.
I only stayed one night at this place (I paid $90.00) the room I was given had a light fitting in the bathroom that was not fitted to the roof properly (you could see into the roof due to the gap between the base of the light and the hole where the base should have covered) On check in staff had a winge to me about a guest that had woken them up early in the morning wanting to hand in his keys; the aircon in the room took forever to cool the room down and due to the fact that the aircon only ran with the key tag in the wall slot and the fact that the key tag could not be removed to leave in the slot to keep the aircon running while you are out of the room (cost cutting by management) I would not recommend staying there and I would not stay there again!
