Wow! I am in shock after reading a "very poor" review like that,I find it very upsetting. Has this person got a Grudge or a Bee in their Bonnet I don't know.
All I can say is that Spanline enclosed my Alfresco Area in with Glass almost 9 years ago,it was
either late 2009 or early 2010 and I could not have been "Happier" they did a beautiful job and
it was the best Money my wife and I spent,it added an extra room for us and we eat most of our
meals out there. Their Quote was not quite the Cheapest but I went back and asked the Owner
if he could sharpen his pencil a little bit regarding the price and he came within $50-00 of ...read more
Agree with other reviews DO NOT USE SPANLINE. Sold us a product for our decking, Modwood. They knew nothing about it, we were misled by the saleperson into believing it was maintenance free. NOT TRUE. Within 3 months the deck had faded, scratched and water stained.
They also used a damaged steel post for our patio and put a sticker over it. Not a good look. It wasn't until a couple of weeks later we removed the sticker and reported it to Spanline. Offered $200 compensation against other work we had done by them, we declined this offer and they went to $500 against the second work. We have withheld payment of this pending discussion and compensation for the decking.
Last week they reported us to the EC Collection Agency and we received another invoice, supposedly from EC Collections on Spanline letterhead for $647 for collection fees. KEEP AWAY FROM SPANLINE...
Shame the facts are wrong again, the debt collection was for another project that they refused to pay for. Modwood was checked by supplier and found to be perfect. Customer wanted maint free decking - no such thing. Would not accept any advise, would not return calls, very unreasonable people, built over 500 jobs this year - one in 500 with problems is not too bad.
Had a great experience with Spanline with the quote, measuring and installation......but then......it leaked, in about 6 places! They came out and poured silicon everywhere and stopped half of the leaks. They have been out three times since and we have just been told they aren't fixing the problem, we will have to. Don't waste $9000 on Spanline - keep your old dodgy NON LEAKING roof!
The detail on this is not correct. The customers house roof has major issues and is leaking behind the patio, Rotten fascia boards on gable end of house well above our structure. House gutter leaking in joins. We have been continuesly fixing the customers own house issues, nothing to do with the patio. These people feel we should be responsible for thier house issues. Pays to get the facts correct.
Strange how the old roof never leaked!! We asked to have any existing structure fixed before work commenced and that obviously didn't happen. They are the facts! If you want a roof that doesn't leak - don't use Spanline.
