Very rude owner called Andrew. He gave wrong advice. Not only is he a bad businessman he has a very unprofessional manner as well. And everyone in the store there agreed with me that he was rude and unhelpful. He just lost a valuable customer and their family and friends too. We went up to the BUPA store and were looked after. Funnily enough his staff had given the same advice as the BUPA store! He overrode that advice and lost business and showed that he was incompetent as well.
We go to this Specsavers branch in Chadstone for more than 5-6 years now. But today this branch lost our family's business for good. I booked my two daughters for eye check scheduled at 3pm. Because of the holiday season it took us a long time to look for parking. We reach the branch at 3:02pm and I waited to be attended bec the Asian lady manager was still attending to someone. Then a lady who was scheduled at 3:10 cut my queue which I didn't mind. By the time it was our turn to be checked in it was 3:07pm. Then this rude manager said she has to rebook us at 3:45 and 4pm bec we were 7 mins late!!! Thanks a lot, we will never ever return to this branch. U just lost 4 customers for life. We went to OPSM and had the best service ever.
This was the first time I had gone to a Specsavers optometrist. To be honest, it felt like a bit of a factory line, in ... out ... of the optomestrist. However they had a good range of frames for good prices. How they make money, however, is charging $120 for each pair if you want thin lenses, and extra for tint, anti reflective coating etc. So you can see how it can get quite expensive (2 pairs for $249 + $240 for thin lenses.. + $20 for anti reflective coating). It quickly adds up. I chose the thin lenses on only one pair, meaning I paid $169 for two pairs of glasses after health insurance. Not bad, but if I want to be re-fitted for contact lenses I'm not sure if I'd come here - maybe go somewhere else with lots of attention to detail (I didn't mind OPSM, Chadstone for contacts).
