I had a job covering maternity leave at the Busselton Specsavers, I initially applied for a simple retail position, and was offered the maternity leave cover as the girl they employed and had given three weeks handover was not up to there expectations. I was given a very limited handover due to the pregnant lady needing to leave. My first weeks I was not well and was suffering a personal issue (hence why I applied for the lesser stressful job) I received no support from the directors and on the second pay date I was 15 minutes late due to a taxi not turning up, and then a director ranted to me about being late for over half an hour, and I had a dead line to get the wages bank file uploaded which I missed. I then suffered a massage stress attack and ended up in hospital for the rest of the day, and was sacked on the next shift I had on Tuesday. I have never been sacked from a job before and I was made to feel incompetent in my work. I was then escorted to wait outside for my ...read more

I was treated badly at the Rosebud specsavers and I lodged a detailed complaint on the headoffice website. They sent it on to the franchisee
who was the cause of the complaint (like asking the arsonist to investigate the fire). I then got a letter from John the franchisee banning me from the store.
So the moral is "dont't make a complaint to specsavers or you will be banned". I have since made numerous calls to headoffice and complained about what happened and I have been promised a callback after they have checked it out but still no return call. It appears that their moto is ïf you ignore a customer complaint it will go away".

Absolutely disgusted!!! The arm completely fell off, took them in as your glasses are supposed to have 2 years warranty. Only to be told they wouldn't do anything as the small bit of metal that holds the arm was slightly bent and expected me to buy yet another pair. They were 8months old!!! This is the second time this has happened. I won't be returning!!
Bought their "2 pairs for $299 " deal last year, from INGLE FARM, ended up costing me $799.!! Took a pair of perscription sunglasses from deal to be looked at, as they went funny in 25 degrees sitting in a car, on console. Young lady stated you cant leave glasses in cars and they could not fix them. TOTAL NONSENSE, as their other pair I was wearing, went through last summers heat, without incident. To add a slap in the face to the episode, my partner said we will take this further, staff replies " Well, I am the owner, so it wont go any further!" PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
went to Specsavers Waverley Gardens today to get a pair of glasses repaired, even though I didn't get them at that particular branch the girls there couldn't have been more helpful. The glasses couldn't be repaired but the lovely girl that served me was happy to take the lenses out and put them in a new frame free of charge, I only had to go away and come back after 10 minutes and they were done. Wonderful service and totally unexpected, I fully expected to leave them with them and come back in a few days to pick them up and pay for a new frame. I could not be happier with such great service. Well done Specsavers Waverley Gardens.
