This North Indian restaurant impressed us even before stepping foot inside, this was due to the free food on offer to the needy and their incredibly cheap lunch buffet advertisement. Once inside, we do a walk by of the buffet and check out all of the cricket memorabilia adorning the walls. Once seated the much anticipated naan arrives at the table, as does a goat curry a dish that will always appear on our order if it is available. This version is very nice, the meat is tender with good flavour. We were also introduced to another dish that many of us had not come across, the Malai Kofta. Bobbing in a thick and creamy korma style sauce were these flavoursome cottage cheese and cashew nut dumplings. This is a dish we will be looking for in the future.
There are 3 advantages of this restaurant: 1) Its has a function room you can book if you are organising something special 2) It is child friendly as there is lots of room for prams etc. 3) Their Mango Lassi's are lovely and fresh and come in a large glass. There are a couple of disadvantages though - I found this restaurant very noisy, probably due to the size of the room and the tiled floor. The food was average - certainly not the best in Harris Park, in particular my naan bread was too well done (almost burnt).
I recently celebrated my birthday at this restaurant and invited 25 guests. I cannot thank the management and staff enough for making it such a memorable occasion. The entrée and main course was amazing. The service was excellent. Food arrived on time - served by pleasant waiters who went all out to meet my needs and that of my guests. We had a function room all to ourselves. My guests raved about the food. A big thank you to Kameel and his staff for making it so special. I highly recommend this restaurant to others.
This one was recommended to me by a friend who appreciates even bad food and I didnt take his words seriously. But, I had to book a table for 15 of us and this was the only restaurant which could seat us on weekend, big gamble at that point of time.
Even though the restaurant was crowded, it didn't effect the service. The food on time, really tender meat, top class presentation and with in my budget.
Every single one of them I had invited loved the food.
Kudos to the chef and the waiting staff.
Thank you for amazing service.
P.S - If you like spicy food, try Methi Chicken and request for extra spicy and extra topping of coriander leaves (goes well with your Tandoori roti and the salad)
