I took my beautiful Italian jacket for a quote to the Spit Junction Dry Cleaner. They told me that because of the delicate fabric and leather trimmings they would need to send it to another dry cleaning company that specializes on such items and they would call me first to tell me the cost. I left my jacket with them, expecting a call back & I received a voicemail from the owner regarding the cost & to my unpleasant surprise, I found out that my jacket had already been sent for a clean without my approval...when I collected my jacket at first sight it looked fine. WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN.
I took some clothes in for dry cleaning and a pair of suit pants that had a very slight tear on the back pocket to be stiched. When I got pants back they had patched over the corner of the back pocket with a 2cm square fabic. It was ridiculous and the pants cannot be wore. So I took back and the owner agreed to fix it. When I went to pick up the pants the second time, the owner said there would be extra charge for the work I asked for. I told him I have asked for the stitching to be done initially and he did not tell me about the extra charge.
He said I have to pay him because that is how it is. If I don't then he will withhold the clothes (including my dry cleaning) and I will have talk to the police.
I don't know anyone with slightest sense would put a patch over a suit pants which almost ruined a pair of good pants. The owner has a terrible attitide, it is not a place I want to go back to.
