Springwood Gas Centre

I have used the team at Springwood Gas / Highlands Gas for many years now to look after servicing my home gas central heating system. Always prompt, reliable and efficient service and includes testing at the outlets inside to make sure all is sweet. Recommend !!

We purchased a gas heater from Springwood Gas a few years ago and were very happy with the installation process and the warmth it's provided since then. We recently needed a service as the heater would occasionally turn itself off. I called the service centre and Peta offered me an early booking. On the day the friendly service man arrived on time and completed the maintenance process quickly and efficiently. All good since then - we're burning brightly as Winter approaches!

Techo diagnosed the error code 11 as either gas flow or spark, pulled the front panel off but didn't actually pop out the spark probes to see their condition and if they were sparking. Just advised that either a new spark coil or gas valve was needed but didn't even quote for parts, just quoted for a new $4000+ gas heater. Screws were not replaced on the panels and were not left anywhere to be found. When I got back home after being interstate it took me 15min to pop the spark terminals out to check if it were sparking and found them corroded. Quick cleanup and adjustment of the gap and the spark started working well again. Heater has worked really well since. Just seemed to be taking advantage of my wife not knowing anything about heaters. Claim they have many year's experience but this should have been an obvious check as part of their diagnosis. Total waste of money in the first place having them come out to not actually investigate the physical issue.

Happy with the work performed at our holiday cottage but not their communication. We had informed them we had guests arriving same day as the service call. They attended our property at 7.30am but no one rang us to advise that there would be no heating available as the unit needed replacing.
It was our guests who advised us that evening that the gas heating wasn't operational.
Not easy contacting this business urgently either as they have a answering service.

Called Springwood gas and they were able to come out to look at our gas heater which kept turning off the very next day which was amazing considering it's so cold and im Sure they have an influx of customers.
We'd previously called a closer gas company who refused to come out due to the brand of gas heater we had which was stressful.
Ray, our representative was able to fix the heater and also re-seal our glass. The heater is working amazingly now and we're so happy. Thank you!!
