Like a previous post we were qouted a price of $2,000 for a new ecm plus $400 for a service. We were to pick up the boat and they wanted to charge $3,600. No service was done on the boat. They replaced parts that we did not approve or ask for. There was no contact regarding the extra charges. They did apologise and the bill came down to $2,546. This is the only reason they received half a star. Anyone using Springwood Marine should get a written quote up front.

Down to parts and service only now, what a pleasure it was to deal with the guys in the workshop. Not only did they keep me informed at every step but even though I only have a small Tinnie they treated me like I was important. I'll be back for sure.

I recently traded my boat in on a brand new boat at Springwood Marine and had nothing but grief from the start, they were very nice until I signed the contract then it was like they forgot my name. I was told the boat would be around 4-5 weeks and they would let me know updates as the boat progressed, after not hearing anything for 4 weeks I called to get an ETA for the boat, and was told it would be in on Friday, 4 days away. 7 days later I called to get an update and was told the boat was still 2 weeks away with no explanation as to why. After no call from them 2 weeks later I called only to be told the rep I was dealing with had been given the sack, so I thought things might get better, I was wrong the new rep was just upset he was not getting the commission and took it out on me. little to say a further 2 weeks later I got the boat with greasy hand marks and dirt all over it and this was supposed to be detailed. I'll never go there again and would tell anyone to ...read more

December 2014. Take my advice.....stay clear of these people!! We took our new boat there for its first service (for convenience rather than anything else) and what a mistake. Firstly, they quoted one price and charged another (apparently their system is unable to determine who booked the boat in thereby being unable to speak to the person who quoted for the service) . Go figure. Then we get the boat home and our white seats are covered in dirt. Service Management's explanation to this is that they don't get into the boats to check them after they've been serviced by their people. Really??? Maybe your job description should be reworked. It doesn't end there, the actual Dealer Principle assured us they would look into it and call us back on an oil level query we had. Guess what.... no call back. We had to call back. Totally unsatisfactory customer service. Wouldn't go near these people again if you paid me too.

Firstly when I purchased a second hand boat which cost me $20000, was told it would be detailed for me prior to taking delivery. When collected, it was dirtier than when I first viewed it. Secondly I wanted to have a marine radio installed. Was told they would ONLY install a UHF radio, of which I dont have a license for, and would not install a 27mhz radio instead. Lastly, I have had the boat for 3 months, and a crack has developed in it. My insurance will not cover it as it turns out it was repaired, but not correctly. Springwood Marine assured me the boat was thouroughly inspected prior to sale. Now they have told me they will have a mobile fibreglasser come out and repair it, but not repaint the areas. So its now back at Cruise Craft and the $2500 repair is coming out of my pocket. Would not recommend going there to anyone.
