My daughter introduced me to Springwood Mecanical during my time of disaster with my Hyundai Santa Fe.
The motir had packed it in during a holiday and we got it fixed once but it still had oul leaks and a bad engine noise.
Mark and his team were honest andquick to help us.
My wife and I had been very stressed by this car but the boys found us a much younger motor and installed it and tested it without delay and fuss.
The charge was reasonable and their problem solving ability is tops.
And best ofall they talk to the customer and explain hard to understand things.
So if you want peace of mind in a mechanical way, we suggest, go to Watland Street.

My girlfriend took her car to these guys for a service and repair because her brakes were playing up and going spungey. She picked the car up and paid these guys for their work which was bit pricey. The young mechanic explained why the brakes were playing up because they had moisture in the lines and said he flushed the lines and did what needed to be done. A day later we have the same issue with the brakes, we call them up and they tell us to take it back down to them. I went with my girlfriend this time round. As we entered the shop we found the secretary half asleep reading a book laying down with her feet up on the customer couch which was pretty unprofessional. She got up threw on her pluggers and slowly attended to our needs ??. The young mechanic ended up taking the car for a test drive and when he got back he said and I quote "if it's not doing it when I test them then I don't know". Sorry to hear you are not happy with us but when we road tested the car we could not fault the brakes the original brake fluid failed a moisture test that is why you were told we have to start with replacing the brake fluid first. The young mechanic that drove your car has been in the industry for 10 years, if he says the brakes were not playing up on the road test I beleive him. Your girlfriend even stated that it only plays up at certain times so other than replacing everything in the system which would cost a fortune there is not much else we could do until it plays up. By the way the lady on the couch is not our secretary she is my wife and was laying on the couch becase she had just been sick and only served you cause none of us saw you come into the office, as for being pricey please check rates of other mechanics in the area. If we can be of any further assisstance don't hesitate to call.
Regardless, you guys came across very unprofessional and messed us around far to much, So much so that we purchased a part off you guys that we will not even be returning to get fixed due to the frustration we experienced on our visits. We are willing to wear the cost of the purchased part because we just don't want to deal with the headache. We have taken the car to another local mechanic since and the problem was diagnosed, addressed and rectified in a quarter of the time and for alot less of the cost.
you say we messed you round you came in twice and phoned twice we looked at the car while you waited the second time and took no longer than 15 minuites to find no problem .please provide a photo of invoice from the mechanic that fixed your problems for $22 whice is a quater of our price as i don,t think you are telling the truth and would like to know what the problem was that could be fixed so cheap as there are no brake parts that are even that cheap
I would recommend these guys without hesitation. I have an older car and because they know I am on a tight budget threy always take the time to try and find alternative parts for me, try getting a delaership to help you out like that. Having a mechanic I can trust is really important to me, and Springwood Mechanic have never let me down.
I had a car service at a shop and they wrote me up a list of urgent repairs my car needed. $600 worth! I know nothing about cars and didn't have this much cash to splash out so I called some mechanics shops to investigate. I decided to go with these guys as they seemed very knowledgeable and confident on their advice.... Also were much less expensive than others. I went in today and got all urgent things fixed for half of what others quoted me and even got a lift to the shops so I could run some errands while I waited. My cars running great and I didn't break the bank. Thanks guys! I'll be back :)
