Located in the busy heart of the Sydney CBD, St Andrew's Cathedral School is an independent, coeducational Anglican school from Kindergarten to Year 12. St Andrew's offers both the Higher School Certificate and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, with strong academic results. 50% of students in 2012 received ATARs over 80. Students overwhelmingly progress to tertiary education at the conclusion of Year 12.

St Andrew's is housed across two dynamic city buildings, with a 48-hectare outdoor education site located in the Southern Highlands. The Junior School is a bright, semi-open plan learning space, while Middle School and Senior College students experience university-style lecture theatre classrooms, an in-house Black Box drama theatrette, individual and group practice spaces for musicians and a design centre with a host of innovative technologies. St Andrew's also has a before-and-after-school fitness centre, run by an elite athlete, an indoor basketball court and a rooftop playground overlooking the city, equipped with cricket nets, a play gym and basketball court. Gawura, a donation-funded school for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in K-6, is located in the Junior School.
