Called in today; needed some cold and flu tabs to ease symptoms. I understand a small business owner (being one myself) has lots of costs, however, a $1 surcharge on using an debit NOT A CREDIT card is just wrong. Don't know if there would have been a limit, ie $10, as it wasn't relevant in this case. Even when it was explained again that it was a debit card not a credit card, the fee would not be waved and "Owners Policy" was quoted. Feel sorry for the locals - but maybe we got tourist price. $1 fee on a $16 transaction is a mighty profit and not in line with other businesses I have dealt with. Take cash if you can.
