I have had 4 lots of surgery in the past 8 weeks and i cannot praise and thank the staff and managment on level 1 south ward enough.. They were just so helpful, understanding and nice and respectful. i was there for 3 weeks at one point and they made me feel so welcome and went out of there way to make sure i was comfortable in anything they did for me.. Even the staf in theatre, recovery, to the porters and the catering staff.. couldnt have been more friendly and helpful.. Anyone needing surgery or hospital stay at St George Private you will be in good hands, fully recommend this Hospital to anyone.. Thanks to all the staff on 1 south ward.
Two weeks ago I had a stay of one week at St Geore Private on level 2 in the orthopaedic ward, having a knee replacement. I can't praise the staff highly enough. They were always cheerful, caring, and offering help even when I didn't need it. From the time I entered the hospital feeling so anxious, the staff were so professional. I wish I could remember the lovely nurse who held my hand while I was given the spinal anaesthetic, as I was more frightened of that than the operation itself . The anaesthetist Dr Simon Harper was very caring, even coming to visit me the night after my operation to see how I was getting along. My surgeon Dr Samuel Macdessi was amazing, and I so wish I had had him as my surgeon for the previous knee replacement. The physiotherapists, who even came on a Sunday, were very professional, caring and supportive. The only complaint I have is not about the quality of the food, but the fact it was always almost cold by the time we received it. ...read more
Great hospital dad was in ICU for a week. All the staff are all very friendly and have all the patience in the world. Best hospital I know and I'll recommend it to anyone. Lucky I have insurance for the day I will need to stay in the St George private. Mum stayed in the public nurses were all rude. Never again !!! Private all the way....
Family member here for surgery, so the family wait in the visitor's South Lounge, only to be rudely told by a nurse to leave, as "it's no longer a lounge, we just haven't changed the signage". Looks more like the staff are using it for their overflow storage convenience, rather than caring for patients and their families. Very disappointing.
