I love this place, I only go on a weekend , when North Sydney is a ghost town, mand easy to park. Omg, the ham and cheese croissant, The hot cross buns at Easter time, the macarons, it is all so good. They do coffee here too, and there are few tables where you can sit and just for a moment pretend that you are in Paris. Go!
I found out about this place from a brownies article on an online newspaper and I was curious as to why their brownies made the cut.
The place might be a little bit isolated from the crowds of North Sydney, and the atmosphere is not lively as I would have expected, but I was very impressed by the large variety of dessert cakes as well as the light lunch options (wraps, pies, etc).
The staff greeted me as soon as gazed my eyes on the dessert area, and I ordered the chocolate brownie for takeaway. Paying well over $5 for one piece, it is indeed quite pricey, but I did not regret it one bit. The brownie had layers of various chocolate textures, including the crispy layer and the pure chocolate heaven at the bottom layer. It was presented in a nice takeaway box which makes it worth paying the premium.
