Guests enjoy the drawing room, open fire places and sprawling Victorian verandas. Stanton's walls have many stories, the most dramatic in February 1843 when bushranger Martin Cash arrived, held 16 people at gunpoint in the drawing room, collected the valuables, charmed the ladies, and galloped off to his cave in the nearby hills.
