We had a really bad experience twice with Stanton Flooring. The last time I asked them to replace a knot pine floor with kaurie pine in my dining room to match the floor in my lounge. Micheal assured me that he would match the line of boards in the lounge with the new floor and that the new floor would be a better match. The floor they ended up putting in did not do this - it was a huge mismatch with the lounge room floor, much worse than before. He also sanded down and stained both rooms a shade about 4 times lighter than my hall. So at the end of it we had 3 mismatched rooms instead of 2. The sanding in the dining room was of poor quality and a step they replaced had a very rough edge. When we objected having to pay for this he threatened to 'get very ugly' with me.
At first quoted much higher than other tradesmen, but in the end came down to a mutually agreeable price. They did a great job on the sanding, very smooth and even. The final result looked good except for where they puttied up holes. I thought they used a putty that was too light, and it made the floor look patchy
