Just found out startel default listed me for an account from 2010. No letters of notice no anything. Tried to contact to recieve a automated response that there phone lines were down.. buyers beware i have put in a complaint with lending bodies and consumer affairs. Really really poor service on there behalf.

Startels customer service is the worst that I have every come across my elderly sister in-law has been trying to speak to a customer service representative and has also requested a print out of her account this has been going on for weeks with no outcome. If there is no resolve to the account I am sure it would make a good story for A Current Affair

I am writing to complain about this business
My 82 year old neighbour came to me in floods of tears She had just been told by Telstra that she no longer had a Telstra Land Line She was supposed to have changed to a different Company. NOT TRUE. I phoned Telstra and got it sorted out. A Company called M2 were responsible. I called them and they told me that it wasn't their Company Direct, but a Company called Startel and I was given the Number. After being on hold for almost 30 mins eventually there was a voice on the other end. She promised me a call back Such a good job I wasn't holding my breath I am still waiting!!!!!

You are able to call our Customer Service team on 1300137827 and selecting Opt 4 to speak with one of our representatives or alternatively please email us at [email protected]. Our center is open from 8:30am to 8:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 3:00pm on Saturdays Brisbane time with a free 'Call Back' service available. How can I reply via email when it bounces back to me as unable to be sent.

I am disgusted and very angry. I have spoken to 2 of your people as regards the matter of my neighbour 2) and her complaint against your Company. I have also listened to the phone conversation with a gentleman with a strong foreign accent, who I couldn't understand at times. Surely he realised that she was in her 80s as she gave her D O B. Obviously he wanted his commission therefore the hard sell. One manager told me first of all that it was a 5 day cooling off period (she should get her facts straight) She also said that my neighbour would have to pay a bill of more than $1,000 and the other manager wasn't much help in that either My neighbour lives off a Pension, so how is she going to afford to pay this money?

I want to know the correct address to email so I can email properly

Would I recommend Startel NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS!!!!

â??Mrs Harvey is elderly as you are aware, and she couldn't even remember having the telephone conversation with your Salesman. It is her voice on the taped agreement however'.
