Back here again on Sunday, we found it was one of the few grocery stores that was open and trading throughout the day on Sunday outside of the Footscray market premises. Not a lot of people which was good, however their small carpark was filled with cars coming in & out that was aware that they were opened. Similar to my earlier review some months ago, their prices are relatively good however the quality of the produce isn’t always the best hence the cheaper price. The special they had for the days was walnuts for $7.99 kilo which was a relatively good price given elsewhere all $15 a kilo.
I only just discover this place by accident over the weekend, it’s well hidden right next to the Thrifty rental car. There were lots of people here, by curiosity I pop around to have a look and saw that it was quite a large vegetable stall with large crates at the front of the shop and more inside. The fruits were almost a faction of the price compared to what is sold in Footscray market itself. The quality was ok, some were hit & miss but overall good. I discovered that they had been open apparently for almost a year now. Another new location for my veggies to be added to the list, staff were friendly and quick which is always good.
